Position: Teacher

Location: Freckleton, Lancashire

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, term time

Salary Details: £38,000 per annum

We are seeking to appoint a Teacher to join this thriving school. Reporting to the Senior Leadership Team, they will be responsible for the delivery of engaging and challenging lessons, ensuring that the department and the school are successful in achieving its aims. The ideal candidate will:

A qualified and experienced  teacher who relates well to children with additional needs.

  • Plan and teach well-structured lessons.
  • Manage classes effectively, using approaches which are appropriate to students’ needs to motivate them.
  • Know and understand how to assess the relevant subject and curriculum areas you teach, including statutory assessment requirements.
  • Experience of teaching English.
  • A dedicated work ethic to ensure the needs of all students.
  • Is passionate about making learning effective and enjoyable
  • SEN experience (Desired but not essential).
  • Practical, creative and inventive with a good sense of humour.
  • Resilient and able work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to interact with people in a variety of ways.
  • Dynamic, proactive and solutions focused.
  • Able to contribute to the school’s multi-disciplinary team approach.
  • Able to manage and understand complex behaviours.

Who we are:

Linton School is an independent special school who caters for children and young people with social, emotional and mental health needs. We are located in Freckleton, near Preston and therefore benefit from some amazing outdoor space where we develop an extensive outdoor curriculum which includes farming, equestrian, horticulture and small animal care. The school provides full time education for up to 12 male or female students ages between 8 and 18 years old.
