About the role

The Cambridgeshire Learning Disability Partnership (LDP) bringsĀ together specialist health and social care services for people with aĀ learning disability.

We have an exciting Social Worker vacancy inĀ ourĀ Fenland Team, based at Hereward Hall in March.Ā

The successful candidates will contribute to thisĀ unique model of practice as part of an integrated team alongside Health and Social Care Practitioners such as Adult Support Co-ordinators, Social Workers, Community Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Psychologists, Psychiatrist, Speech and Language Therapists and Art / Music Therapists.

The LDP are currently working to a hybrid model in line with our service needs. Following an induction period, our Social Workers will work from the office up to three days each week. This gives our Social Workers a quiet space and plenty of time for reflection whilst still balancing collaborative working across the multi-disciplinary team and peer support. It has also increased our Social Workers autonomy and has had a positive impact on wellbeing and work-life balance.

Cambridgeshire County Council has adopted a new approach to social work and social care to make it increasingly proactive, preventative, and personalised. Transforming Lives is a three-tier approach to working with individuals, carers, and families that consider holistic, creative solutions to enable individuals meet their aspirations through the care and support planning process.

We are looking for exceptional Social Workers to join us on our journey. For an informal discussion about our vacancies, contact BethĀ on 01480 372 425 or e-mail welovesocialworkers@cambridgeshire.gov.uk.

We know that your time is precious, so our interviews are generally held virtually, by Microsoft Teams, to provide the most flexible recruitment process. We may include a virtual assessment as part of this, but weā€™ll give you all of the relevant information ahead of time.

This is a rolling campaign, and we will review applications daily so please don’t waitĀ to apply, we want to speak to you now!

Appointment to this post will be subject to the outcome of an Enhanced Disclosure obtained through the Disclosure and Barring Service. The Council is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

About you

We are looking for people who can demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, have the ability to work both independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team, and are committed to making a positive difference for the people we support.
