About The Role

This post sits within the Practice Development team working under the Safeguarding Business Unit on behalf of the Gloucestershire Safeguarding Children Partnership (GSCP). It is an exciting opportunity for someone with a range of training skills and safeguarding experience. This post will be ideal for someone with proven safeguarding children and child protection practice, skills and knowledge, coupled with training delivery and development experience and a desire to develop in a statutory service area delivering key partnership messages on Child Safeguarding and Child Protection to multi-agency practitioners.

 

The position is an essential addition to the GSCP Business Unit in its role to assist the counties lead safeguarding partners in fulfilling their statutory duties under Working Together to Safeguard Children 2023.

 

 

 

About You 

The right candidate will be working within the Training & Development arm of the GSCP Business Unit, reporting to the Practice Development Manager. The post holder will be the primary delivery training officer for the  partnerships multi-agency safeguarding training curriculum, whilst supporting and enabling the delivery of complimentary modules from specific safeguarding specialists to monitoring and quality assuriance of eLearning and other resources. In addition the post holder will work closely with the Practice Development Manager and key partners in the cascade of learning from local safeguarding reviews, child death reviews, muti agency audits and national safeguarding reviews into the essential learning resources and training packages, targeting all practitioners operating across the wider Gloucestertshire Safeguarding Partnership. 

 

This position sits within a small and well respected professional child safeguarding advisory unit. the right candidate will need to be approachable, flexible and be prepared to enage in a range of activities as required by the GSCP Business Manager. In return the post holder will occupy a key position in a unique and exciting safeguarding Business Unit influencing practice change across the safeguarding system.
