Overview

Ready to make a strategic impact?

We’re looking for an experienced Strategic Finance Business Partner to join our Finance & IT team and play a key role in shaping financial decision-making across the Combined Authority.

As a Strategic Finance Business Partner, you’ll work directly with Directors and Executive Directors, providing high-quality financial advice, insight and constructive challenge to help deliver our Directorate Business Plans.

About you

You’ll be a CCAB qualified accountant with significant experience in financial planning, control and reporting.

You’ll bring:

  • Extensive experience working in a complex and political environment.
  • Strong experience presenting complex financial information to senior and non-finance stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting significant service contracts, including contracts over £10m per annum.

Experience of Unit4 ERP, Local Government, the wider public sector or capital projects would be an advantage.

Why join us?

This is an exciting opportunity to influence strategic decisions at the heart of the Combined Authority.

You’ll have the opportunity to lead a talented finance team, work alongside senior leaders and help shape the financial strategy that supports our organisation’s wider priorities.

Regular attendance at Pathfinder House will be required for team days, alongside attendance at public meetings across the Combined Authority area.
