Come and work for a rewarding employer. Gloucestershire County Council has a vacancy for a Senior Parking Officer – Operations in the dynamic and busy Parking Services Team.
An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Parking Officer – Operations to support the Parking Manager in overseeing the operations function within the team.
The role involves supporting the Parking Manager to deliver the County Council’s obligations and contractual duties in relation to parking, bus lane and moving traffic enforcement.
You are expected to monitor the day to day performance of the County Council’s parking operational services contractor, line manage the operations team (currently 3 staff), liaise with council contractors and manage stakeholders such as members of the public, county councillors and district, town and parish councillors. In addition to this the role is required to oversee assets associated with parking operations such as ANPR cameras and pay and display ticket machines.
The role requires adherence to legislation, legal processes and government guidance.
About You
We are looking for an individual who has experience of working in and managing a busy team, is able to work to statutory time deadlines and has excellent communication and customer service skills. The candidate should be fully computer literate, with an excellent working knowledge of packages such as Word, Excel and working with databases.
An understanding and experience of parking enforcement operations would be an advantage, although full training will be provided to the successful candidate.
