Overview
The Manager, Professional Services is responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of billable professional services engagements across IRIS Software. This role will lead and develop a high-performing team, ensuring customer satisfaction, operational excellence, and the financial growth of the services portfolio. The position requires a strategic leader with strong commercial acumen who can balance people leadership, customer delivery, and financial accountability, while driving innovation and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Delivery & Engagement

Oversee end-to-end delivery of professional services projects, ensuring outcomes are high-quality, on time, and within budget.

Act as an executive sponsor for key accounts, building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and aligning with their business objectives.

Drive customer satisfaction, adoption, and referenceability through proactive engagement, issue resolution, and delivery of measurable value.
Team Management & Leadership

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of services managers, consultants, and project managers.

Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.

Set clear performance expectations, provide coaching and feedback, and support ongoing career development.
Financial & Operational Management

Own the P&L for the professional services portfolio, including revenue forecasting, margin optimisation, and utilisation.

Track and report on key financial KPIs such as billable utilisation, backlog, project profitability, and revenue growth.

Implement best practice governance, risk management, and delivery frameworks to ensure operational excellence.
Strategic Leadership

Develop and execute a portfolio strategy aligned with company goals, identifying opportunities for new service offerings and market growth.

Partner with Sales, Customer Success, and Product teams to deliver integrated customer solutions.

Lead change management initiatives to scale delivery capabilities and continually improve customer experience.
Qualifications & Experience

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, Law, or related field (Master’s or certifications such as PMP/PgMP desirable).

Experience: 10+ years in professional services, consulting, or related roles, with at least 5 years managing large-scale billable services portfolios and teams.

Leadership: Demonstrated experience leading and developing high-performing teams with a culture of accountability and growth.

Financial Acumen: Strong track record of managing P&L, forecasting, driving revenue growth, and achieving key financial KPIs.

Customer Focus: Proven ability to build and maintain senior-level customer relationships, deliver outcome-based solutions, and ensure high satisfaction.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Experience working closely with Sales, Product, Customer Success, and Engineering to achieve shared goals.

Strategic Thinking: Ability to shape and execute portfolio strategies, scale operations, and manage change in a fast-paced SaaS environment.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and influence stakeholders at all levels.

Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of SaaS, cloud technologies, and professional services delivery best practices.

Language Skills (desirable): Proficiency in an additional EMEA South language (French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese), with strong preference for French.
