About the role

We are seeking to appoint a new Lecturer who will lead on the Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy (CBT) aspects of the DClinPsy in line with the requirements for the British Association for Behavioural and cognitive Psychotherapists (BABCP) level 2 accreditation.

The post holder is accountable to external PSRBs (BABCP) for maintaining governance compliance and reports to the Co-Programme Directors, but also works closely with the Academic and Clinical Directors, and liaises with key stakeholders (such as external lecturers and markers). The post holder provides leadership on BABCP developments, maintenance and monitoring (with the Co-DClinPsy Programme Directors) of teaching and learning strategies and academic standards for the DClinPsy. The post holder will also contribute directly to teaching and assessment marking/moderation.

About you

An experienced and enthusiastic educator with a strong commitment to excellence in training and a desire to positively shape the development of excellent CBT skills in trainees. The successful candidate will be a strong communicator able to assimilate, interpret, and communicate academic and scientific knowledge to a wide audience of learners and future practitioners, and will enjoy working as part of a dynamic team of educators and researchers.

The above post is available part time (0.2 FTE) from 2nd October 2025 until 28th February 2029 on the DClinPsy Programme in the Department of Psychology. The post if part time, fixed term on Grade 8.
