Amplify U is our Early Talent Programme at Universal Music Group UK. It helps build a sustainable and inclusive talent pipeline by equipping emerging professionals with real-world experience, industry insight and the skills to forge a career in music.
Our Internship Overview
The Amplify U Internship is a structured, 12-month paid programme open to individuals aged 18 and over who demonstrate a strong interest in a career in the music industry. Interns are placed within specific departments and will gain meaningful, hands-on experience while developing professionally and personally through curated development sessions, projects and network-building opportunities.
The Role
As an Amplify U Intern, you’ll contribute to live business initiatives, learn directly from industry professionals and grow through tailored development. You’ll be immersed in the day-to-day of your department, gaining valuable skills and making a tangible impact.

And, while times have changed, the attitude, street-cool and striking visuals at the label’s creative core have remained the same.
What you’ll learn:
Be Creative
-
Practical creative experience such as (but not limited to): videography/filming/editing and photography.

Social media savvy – be plugged into different social media platforms with a strong understanding of visual trends and youth culture.

Image research and creating decks that represent your creative concepts and ideas clearly. Familiar with Figma and Miro.
Be Administrative
-
Assisting the creative team with admin support, including: researching, updating contact databases and overseeing creative workflow.

An understanding of how to present work and communicate visual ideas both in person and via email.

Budgeting in Uniport; including approving quotes, raising POs etc and ensuring suppliers are paid on time.

Production assistance; creating call sheets and shoot schedules.

Collating and distributing campaign assets – e.g. photos, artwork, presentations.

Taking comprehensive notes in meetings and sharing post meeting in a succinct, timely fashion.

Preparing / printing any documents.

Booking bikes / cabs / couriers.
-
Ticket ordering for gigs on behalf of the creative team.

Sourcing and ordering any merchandise or special items.

Ordering any POS needed e.g. flyers, stickers, posters.
Be Collaborative

Liaising with artist managers and key contacts diligently and professionally at all times.

Working closely with the Studio Island team and marketing teams to ensure creative assets are delivered within an agreed timeframe.

Alongside the Studio Island team; briefing creatives, makers and agencies to co-organise content days and make short-form content like song teasers, visualisers and clips for artist social channels.
Be Digital

Being aware and actively using social media platforms such Instagram / TikTok / YouTube

Working closely with the audience team to ensure audience insight and strategy is considered when creating artist assets and content.

Updating the Studio Island digital channels regularly.

Managing content delivery from external parties.

Who you are:

Aged 18 or over at the time of application, interview, onboarding and placement

Qualifications:
