Job Title: Customer Service Assistant
Salary: £12.21 per hour
Job Type: Part Time
Wickes, New Cut, Chatham, ME4 6AA
Permanent and Part-time, 24 hours per week. 8:00-17:00 Tuesdays, 12:00-20:00 Thursdays, and 12:00-20:00 Saturdays.
The Role…
At Wickes, our stores are all about creating great experiences for customers and colleagues. You could be helping with:
- Assisted Selling: Process payments like a pro (tills and online). Connect with customers to find exactly what they need for their projects. You\’ll be quick at locating click and collect parcels and making sure they get to the right happy customer.
- Self-Serve: Create a friendly customer experience where help is always at hand and stock in the right place, keeping safety in mind and the store in tip-top shape. See a gap? Fill it and make a difference!
- Order Fulfilment: No stock can hide from you, accurately pick & pack orders and be prepared for a physical role as you safely unload deliveries and keep our shelves stocked with big and bulky items.
Whatever the day brings, safety will be your priority. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a forklift. As part of the shopfloor team, you will assist in restocking from at-height storage and safely unloading delivery lorries. You will make sure that the vehicle is loaded correctly, the supporting paperwork is carried and that at all times the vehicle is driven and maintained to the appropriate standards.
About you…
You\’ll need to be the kind of person who\’s curious and can think on their feet. Being approachable and friendly is key, as you\’ll be helping customers throughout the day, and we want everyone to have a great experience. Having an interest in DIY and experience in a similar role is beneficial.
It would be desirable to hold an appropriate FLT driving certification, but not essential, full training will be given. Due to the nature of the role we are looking for candidates aged 18 and over.
