Counsellor Peripatetic Team – Essex

Make a real difference in people’s lives. Join our dedicated Essex Community Rehabilitation service as a Counsellor.
We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Counsellor to deliver a range of psychosocial and psychoeducational programmes, including The Brink of Change and Prep for SHARP, alongside 1:1 therapeutic support. You’ll be based across multiple community partner hubs in Essex, supporting clients on their recovery journey.
What you’ll do:
- Facilitate group therapy sessions and workshops
- Provide 1:1 tailored therapeutic interventions
- Manage a caseload and contribute to treatment planning
- Collaborate with families, professionals, and stakeholders
- Support clients with safeguarding, onward referrals, and aftercare planning
What we’re looking for:
- Experience delivering structured therapeutic interventions
- Knowledge of substance misuse and recovery support
- Strong communication and assessment skills
- A collaborative, values-driven approach
- Commitment to professional development
Qualifications
- Recognised counselling qualification (Level 4 or above)- Essential
- Accreditation with a recognised counselling body- Desirable
