About the role:
Are you looking for a varied, challenging and rewarding position where you can help young people?
Arnold House is a five bedded residential home housing young people with autism spectrum disorder and learning disabilities.
You will work a mixture of early and late shifts and alternative weekends with enhancements paid on top of the basic hourly rate for unsocial hours, Sunday/ Bank Holiday working and standby shifts. 7:00 – 2:30pm early shift, 2:00pm-9:30pm late shift, 9:15pm – 7:15am Night shift.
Enhancements for evening and weekend work, sleeping-in payments, stand-by payments, and overtime substantially increase the earnings potential for this post, in addition to the basic salary.
These posts are zero hours contracts providing cover/relief for existing staff, they can provide a great first step into a new career. Shifts include weekend and evening working and successful candidates should be available to work at short notice.

About you
You need to be self-motivated, enthusiastic, patient and flexible amongst other things. You will find it easy to establish and build positive relationships with Young People.
You will have a nurturing nature with a child centric approach to the support you give whether that be personal care or creating tailored experiences for our children.
Applicants must hold a full UK driving licence, as you will be driving our Young People to appointments or activities.
Experience of working with young people with Autism in either a professional or voluntary capacity is desirable, as is evidence of an ongoing interest and commitment to young people.
This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore subject to an enhanced DBS certificate. It is also a regulated activity and will be subject to a Barred List check
