​This role forms part of the Bioscience Programme team within Faculty Education Services in the Faculty of Life, Sciences and Medicine. The team supports students and academics across many taught programmes within the faculty.

 

This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Programme Manager of a busy and vibrant team within FoLSM. The post holder will manage a programme support team, delivering a high quality comprehensive and professional service that meets agreed standards and expectations; managing staff performance, articulating the department vision, prioritising to meet deadlines, allocating tasks and assisting in the setting of the standards of service.

 

As part of the Bioscience leadership team the post holder will work with colleagues, striving to constantly improve the student experience and positively deliver new initiatives to improve processes, adopting a flexible approach, working at an operational level and contributing to the development of policy and procedures, regularly working with the other Programme Managers, Senior Programme Manager and other members of the Directorate.

 

With their Programme Manager colleagues, the post holder will lead the team overseeing programme support for a range of programmes, maintaining the student record and managing programme administration (including module registration, timetabling, programme and module handbooks, Departmental Education Committees and Student, Staff, Liaison Committee SSLC meetings); ensuring systems, processes and data management are accurate, compliant and auditable.  They will also devise, implement, develop and review processes to deliver Faculty, School and university strategies for student administration.
