IKEA Gateshead are looking to welcome a Sales Assistant. WHAT WE OFFER • The Start Date of employment will be 22nd & 23rd November.• Competitive hourly rate of £12.60 per hour. • 16 Hours working 4 days per week, mainly evening until 22:00pm and weekends shifts including 3 out of 4 weekends.• We can discuss flexibility to match your life and our business needs during the interview. WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO HAVE • You have a forward thinking mindset, are capable of working on multiple tasks and appreciate being part of the team but also can work with minimum supervision.• You have a customer first mindset, where you make the customer know they are valued and supported in everything you do. • You are collaborative, make clear decisions, and use your initiative daily. • You prioritise and organise your own work to make efficient use of the time in fast-paced environment available with strong attention to detail. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY • Support the implementation of seasonal range changes throughout the store. • Act quickly on commercial opportunities; change the availability of products, overstocks and out of stocks.• You support maximising sales by ensuring your area of responsibility is clean, fully stocked, all products priced, well presented and easy to shop. Some products may involve heavy lifting. • You are always interested in the range, curious to learn the stories behind the products and their design.
