Job Introduction

The Business Process Analyst (specialising in AI and Automation) – will work across business units to identify, design, and deliver process improvement and automation initiatives that drive measurable operational value. The role will serve as a subject matter expert in AI, automation, and process optimisation, leveraging data, analytics, and emerging technologies to create scalable and efficient solutions. The role holder will lead end-to-end project delivery of automation initiatives, ensuring alignment with organisational goals, governance standards, and best practices, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The successful candidate will also be responsible for horizon scanning emerging technologies, identifying opportunities to integrate AI-driven solutions, and ensuring business transformation is underpinned by measurable outcomes. You will be Lean Six Sigma qualified, and bring a deep understanding of systems thinking, you’ll be able to demonstrate running Kaizen events and showcase the measurable results you delivered in a similar environment, where you were directly responsible for achieving impactful outcomesShape 

Role Responsibility

As our new Business Process Analyst – Specialising in AI & Automation, you will also: 

  • Lead the delivery of process improvement and automation projects, from discovery to implementation, ensuring alignment with business strategy, compliance standards, and measurable outcomes.
  • Build and leverage strong relationships across business and technical teams to deliver innovation, provide subject matter expertise, and support organisational agility.
  • Analyse MPS business and member data to uncover inefficiencies, develop automation strategies, and recommend AI-driven improvements that deliver tangible ROI.
  • Create and maintain accurate business process maps, automation roadmaps, and governance frameworks to standardise and future-proof operations.
  • Develop business cases and benefits realisation plans to demonstrate value creation, cost reduction, and improved service delivery.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and digital transformation, ensuring adoption of automation tools and best practices across the organisation.
  • Collaborate with IT and data teams to integrate AI solutions (e.g., robotic process automation, natural language processing, machine learning) into business workflows.
  • Provide training, communications, and engagement materials to support smooth adoption of new systems, tools, and processes.
  • Drive project and portfolio success through clear KPIs, ensuring initiatives are delivered on time, within budget, and achieving the intended impact.
  • Horizon scan for new technologies and market trends, assessing their potential to enhance efficiency, decision-making, and customer or employee experience.
  • Manage risks and dependencies effectively, ensuring all solutions meet regulatory, security, and governance requirements.
  • Support leadership teams by delivering data-driven insights, dashboards, and reports to inform decision-making and track performance improvement.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for: 

  • Proven expertise in business process analysis, automation delivery, and digital transformation initiatives, including end-to-end project management.
  • Well-versed in the latest automation and AI service tools
  • Hands-on experience with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen) and process mapping frameworks.
  • Advanced data analysis and problem-solving skills, with expertise in using analytical tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to quantify benefits and measure ROI for automation initiatives, ensuring projects deliver tangible value.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, influencing, and communication skills, with a proven ability to align diverse teams.
  • Experience delivering enterprise-wide transformation programmes in a fast-paced or global environment.
  • Highly organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and deliver measurable business outcomes.
  • A passion for innovation, digital transformation, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
