Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm (additional/alternative hours may be requested on occasion, to meet business need)

About Woodside Farm Assessments Home
Set in the beautiful countryside of rural Shifnal, our two-bed home offers a therapeutic and nurturing environment for children and young people. Over a 12-week placement, we deliver a structured assessment strategy to understand each child’s needs and determine the most appropriate long-term support.

Our approach is rooted in PACE principles, therapeutic care, access to education, and outdoor adventure programmes, all designed to promote emotional healing and personal growth.

What we’re looking for:

As Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in leading the team and ensuring the highest standards of care and safeguarding. You will:

  • Support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home
  • Lead, mentor and develop a team of care professionals
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality, trauma-informed care
  • Contribute to assessment planning and progress reviews
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and Esland policies
  • Build strong relationships with children, families, professionals and external agencies
  • Promote a safe, nurturing and empowering environment for young people

We can offer:

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Experience in a children’s residential care setting (essential)
  • A minimum Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (and a willingness to work towards Level 5)
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • A therapeutic, person-centred approach to care
  • A full UK driving licence (essential)
  • Full right to work in the UK (essential)
  • Aged 21 or over (due to industry regulations)
