Overview

At Engine by Starling, we are on a mission to find and work with leading banks all around the world who have the ambition to build rapid growth businesses, on our technology.

Engine is Starling’s software-as-a-service (SaaS) business, the technology that was built to power Starling Bank, and two years ago we split out as a separate business.

Starling Bank has seen exceptional growth and success in the UK, and a large part of that is down to the fact that we have built our own modern technology from the ground up. This SaaS technology platform is now available to banks and financial institutions all around the world, enabling them to benefit from the innovative digital features, and efficient back-office processes that has helped achieve Starling’s success.

We are on a mission to find and work with leading banks all around the world who have the ambition to build rapid growth businesses, on our technology. We are looking for future leaders to come and join our team, to build client relationships, and work with them to understand their needs and how we can solve them with Engine’s technology.

About the role

We are seeking a Product Consultant within the Client Solutions Division to be part of the core Engine team working to establish, grow and scale our Middle Eastern business and ensure the successful implementation of the Engine Platform for our clients in the region. The role provides a unique opportunity to be a very early hire in the region and work across a number of phases of Engine’s client lifecycle: business development, client discovery and client implementation.

The role will also include supporting the delivery and successful implementation of the Engine platform for our clients in the Middle East.

We’re looking for a versatile, adaptable individual, who enjoys the challenge of a varied and collaborative role. You’ll enjoy problem solving, getting to the detail, helping new clients launch successful new and modern propositions and businesses, and supporting our clients throughout their transformation journeys.

What you’ll get to do:

  • Contribute to the success of the global Engine business as it scales, sharing your learnings from the region with the central and other regional Business Development and Client Delivery functions
  • Build strong relationships both internally and within client and partner organisations, from establishing initial client relationships through to implementation

  • Support clients and Engine’s Client Delivery function during the implementation of the Engine platform including supporting the programme transition from delivery (including design, iterative build and testing) into go-live.
  • Use your understanding of the Engine product and specific domain knowledge to present a clear and compelling solution to the client, supporting work on integration and localisation.

Business development:

  • Support early stage conversations, client workshops and demos, helping to identify and qualify genuine opportunities and contribute to marketing activities and conferences in the region
  • Drive strategic client opportunities including supporting commercial and contractual conversations, preparing for pitches, and other marketing activities like events and thought leadership.
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with our implementation partners, driving collaborative business development activities and go-to-market strategies.
