Role responsibilities

The Project Manager – Bus Stop Infrastructure (On-Street) will have responsibility for the delivery of the projects and initiatives that will support the delivery of the Welsh Government Transport Strategy (Llwybr Newydd, 2021).

  • Proactively manage and deliver the bus stop infrastructure (on-street) programme, through the application of robust project lifecycle methodologies – including implementation of project plans, attainment of key milestones and resource/supply chain management, to ensure these are completed safely to time, cost and quality.
  • Deliver on strategic aims of the bus stop infrastructure (on-street) programme by working in collaboration with stakeholders to deliver consistency of infrastructure and quality/safety/environmental/operational/brand standards and customer information provision across the network of more than 25,000 (incl. 11,000 unmarked) bus stops regionally and nationally across Wales
  • Manage and be responsible for Bus Stop Infrastructure budget by liaising with the appropriate Finance Business Partner escalating any variances where required to ensure costs remain within the agreed budget.
  • Collaborate with internal colleagues, external contractors, stakeholders, and supply chain to ensure Local Authority or TfW-led bus stop infrastructure projects meet are delivered.

Who we’re looking for

  • Demonstrable equivalent work experience or a relevant degree (i.e. business or change management)
  • Hold a project management qualification, e.g. APM, PRINCE 2 or similar.
  • Previous experience of managing infrastructure and/or technology improvement projects.

Welsh Language Skills

The ability to speak/write Welsh would make a great addition to your application, but it is not essential for this role.
