We’re excited to introduce a brand-new opportunity for a talented and experienced Head of Asset Data to lead and develop our property data team, driving insight and innovation across our asset portfolio.

Being an engaging leader who leads by example, you’ll ensure the Asset Data and Stock Condition Team robustly manage all property data held within our management system. You’ll be responsible for the accurate collection, organisation, analysis, and utilisation of property data, providing good quality, accurate reports and information to optimise decision-making, resource allocation, and strategic planning.

You’ll also lead on our implementation project of a new asset management system. This will include collaborating with the wider business to recommend the configuration of the new system, ensuring it complies with regulatory requirements. You’ll also ensure that all existing data is retained and mapped across to minimise the disruption to the wider business.

As the Head of Asset Data, you’ll be leading our collaboration with the wider business to embed the systems and software needed to improve property and planned works information sharing across the organisation.

What you’ll be doing

  • Establishing a data-led culture which places focus on how data is collected, stored and analysed. Continually improving our data and ensuring it’s used to improve service delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Be responsible for forecasting the investment required in our stock. Providing the cleansed data to prove stock lists and work requirements. This includes our annual, five yearly and 30 year plans.
  • Managing our stock condition surveying team to provide sector-leading data collection including attribute(s) / element(s), Decent Homes, Housing Health & Safety Rating System and energy data.
  • Managing our asset data team, with overall responsibility for the management of data on new properties developed or acquired, ensuring it is accurately recorded in PA’s housing management and asset management systems.
  • Developing delivery plans to ensure we’re investing in the right homes and buildings at the right time.
  • Creating the capability for colleagues across the business to self-serve from our data.
  • Assisting the business to identify opportunities to embed Building Information Modelling.

What we’re looking for:

We’re after a proven leader in Asset Management who can bring technical expertise, strategic thinking and people skills to the role. Ideally, you’ll have:

  • Strong knowledge of asset management, stock condition, investment planning and retrofit programmes
  • Experience in asset data analytics, business reporting and using customer insight to drive improvements
  • A successful track record at senior manager level in a housing, voluntary or private sector environment
  • The ability to inspire, coach and lead teams to deliver high performance and service improvements
  • Proven experience of delivering operational plans and managing change, including new systems and processes
  • Excellent relationship-building skills across departments to achieve results collaboratively
  • Good understanding of retrofit and asset management software, plus relevant legislation and regulation around housing stock improvements (kitchens, bathrooms, roofs, windows, doors, cyclical works, repairs)
  • A solid educational background (degree level desirable) with management qualifications or equivalent experience. (CIH Level 4 in Housing or DEA Assessor is a bonus!)
