Here at Wisbech, we have a team of 450 colleagues and manufacture premium chilled ready to cook meals for major retailers such as Asda and Co-op
Pay Rate: £13.50 per hour (plus overtime outside of normal shift pattern)
What You’ll Be Doing
Are you a multi-skilled Team Leader looking for a new operational challenging and varied role? Can you lead and empower a team? We are looking for an production Team Leader; managing a team to achieve maximum machine availability targets.
As a Team Leader you will:
- Lead an shift team to create a high performing culture where team members are motivated, engaged, and supported to develop and achieve their potential.
- Plan and prioritise the shift workload
- Ensure legislation and so that a safe working environment is maintained all times
- Ensure the accurate and timely documentation of shift activities & performance, escalation of relevant events as required, real time use of CMMS, completion of relevant reports, root cause analysis studies and active contribution to daily meeting
- Operating the machines in line with related safety and quality procedures
- Responsible for monitoring production to help attain KPIs for productivity and efficiency.
- Asses and report anomalies and issues
- Organize workflow on the line to support daily production targets
- Work as part of a team to attain safety & performance KPI’s
- Willing to learn several machinery roles to be part of a multi-skilled team
What We’re Looking For
- Supervisory experience
- Understand how to maintain a team within a manufacturing environment
- Food or wider FMCG Manufacturing Experience is desirable
- Good level of English & Maths
- Basic understanding of Health & Safety and Food Hygiene
- Ability to work unsupervised.
