Senior Project Planner – Newcastle upon Tyne, England
In a Nutshell…
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Planner to join our team within Vistry North East, at our Newcastle upon Tyne office. As our Senior Project Planner, you will be required to join an established construction company to manage, operate and maintain construction programmes for a growing number of Mixed Tenure Housing and Partner Delivery Housing & Multi-Storey Schemes. There will be an expectation to manage multiple schemes and resources and it is therefore essential that the candidate is organised, methodical and analytical in their approach. The candidate must also possess excellent problem-solving skills which are essential to this role.
The candidate will need to be a diverse individual who is able to motivate their peers, enjoy working in a collaborative environment across multiple departments i.e. Operations, Development and Technical. Having previous experience within House Building and Multi-Storey projects is preferred.
The candidate will require excellent interpersonal skills and will be required to build relationships within the Vistry North-East departments and work as part of an overall Team. The successful candidate must be able to present themselves in a professional and approachable manner.
Knowledge of construction processes and technical understanding of construction methodology is essential for this role as the candidate will be expected to take ownership of the programmes with minimal assistance from others.

- Have previous demonstrable experience of programming and planning works of a House Building and Multi-Story nature.
- Have extensive working knowledge of specialist programming software (Project, Asta etc)
- Be able to drive and enthuse the project team to ensure programme delivery.
- To be able to identify resources (people and materials) in line with programme requirements.
- To have had previous experience of Contracting and / or Open Market Sale projects.
- To be proficient in target tracking.
- Full UK driving licence.
Desirable…
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Experience of operational management of projects.
