SEND Teacher – Beaumont College Satellite (Sussex)

Salary/Rate: £31,000 – £37,436 per annum

Monday-Friday, Term Time only. Permanent role. Full time position starting in September 2024. 

Location: Beaumont Sussex – Five Oaks – West Sussex RH14 9AX

Beaumont Sussex is a new satellite further education that opened in September 2023. The main Beaumont College is based in Lancaster, but already has establish satellites in other areas. Beaumont Sussex is based within the grounds of an already established education facility: Ingfield Manor School

We are looking for a qualified teacher (ECT/NQT or MPS) with experience of teaching students with special educational needs and disabilities, who has the creativity and enthusiasm to deliver the best outcomes for our students.  We offer a comprehensive induction programme and ongoing training to ensure everyone is provided with the best possible start to their employment.

Our college is an exciting and rewarding place to work with excellent resources, including a state-of-the-art multi-sensory room.  Full clinical supervision, training and CPD opportunities are ongoing. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver outstanding teaching and learning using proven methods and approaches that enable students to make academic and social progression.
  • Use a range of methods to record and track each students progress.
  • Be a class tutor, ensuring pastoral needs are met and establishing excellent relationships with parents and carers.
  • Be responsible for the day-to-day implementation of agreed aims and programmes reflecting the ethos of the college.
  • Manage a class team.
  • Inspire trust and confidence in students, colleagues, parents, and other professionals.
  • Build team commitment with colleagues and in the classroom.
  • Promote the wider aspirations and values of the college.
  • Engage in college activities as required by the Lead Tutor.
  • Adhere to all working protocols as agreed and published in the college handbook.
  • Ensure you uphold all safeguarding procedures, including engaging in induction and annual safeguarding training.
  • Promote the wider aspirations and values of the college.
