With a complex mix of nationalities and ethnicities alongside a post-industrial history of chronic ill-health and some of the most deprived wards in England it is a challenging but extremely rewarding place to work. As the Housing Services Strategic Lead you would oversee the operational delivery of our Homeless Service, from the point of contact through to the point of case closure.
You will also lead on the following key areas:
Our homeless and Rough Sleeping Strategy and action plan.
Joint Protocols with adult and children’s social care.
The relationship between the Council and the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government.
Our Housing Strategic Needs Assessment.
Market shaping and the operational oversight of contracts with our commissioned providers.
Budget management.
You will be expected to be an ambassador for practice standards, to lead on service development, deputise for the ACT Lead Officer and to develop effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
