We are looking for a Head of Learning & Development to join our HR team. In this role, you will report directly to the HR Director and work closely with senior managers and stakeholders to understand the needs of our employees. You will then use your expertise to develop and implement comprehensive learning solutions that support their growth and development.

As the Head of Learning & Development, you will lead and manage a blended learning approach for our central training programs. This includes managing the entire learning and development cycle, from induction to succession planning and talent career paths. You will also partner with senior managers and stakeholders to ensure that our employees have access to the best resources and training opportunities.

We are looking for someone with a strong understanding of strategic and operational objectives, as well as experience in implementing learning strategies. Accreditation as a coach is also preferred, as you will be responsible for developing our internal workforce and helping them excel in their roles.

About You

As a successful leader with HR and Learning & Development experience, you will have a strong understanding of the importance of continuous professional development. With a proven track record in this area, you will have the skills and expertise to lead and develop your team effectively.

Your role will also require: 

  • To be an accredited coach, with relevant qualifications such as the L&D CIPD and BSP qualifications. Your coaching skills will be essential in helping your team members reach their full potential and contribute to the success of our business.I
  • In addition to your coaching abilities, you will also be familiar with relevant behavioural tools such as SDI, TMSDI, MBTI, and EQ. These tools will help you in identifying and developing the strengths and areas of improvement for your team members, enabling them to succeed in their roles.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills are also crucial for this role. You will need to be able to effectively communicate with your team and adapt to changing business needs. This includes being open to embracing innovation in L&D practices to ensure that our team members are equipped with the latest skills and knowledge. By leveraging these skills and qualifications, you will be able to enable the ability of our workforce and drive their professional development. This will not only benefit our employees but also contribute to the overall success of our business.
  • Additionally, you will also have the opportunity to utilise apprenticeships as a tool for professional development and further enhance our team’s skills and abilities.

Overall, your experience as a leader in HR and Learning & Development, combined with your coaching abilities, behavioural tools knowledge, and adaptability, will be essential in helping our team members achieve success and drive our business forward.
