Due to an internal promotion we have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced finance professional to join our team in Compass One as an FP&A Analyst. Reporting in to the FP&A Manager the FP&A Analyst will support the business with concise, high impact, proactive reporting, forecasting and analysis acting as a key liaison between the Sector Finance Team, Sector FP&A and UK Business Intelligence team
The FP&A Analyst will be responsible for;
- Designing and maintaining appropriate standard weekly/monthly reporting to help business leaders drive operational performance.
- Producing monthly business performance packs/briefing material.
- Ensuring balance sheet integrity for the sector and driving working capital improvements.
- Approving of journals, ensuring validity of accounting entries and compliance to contract and Group Accounting Manual, escalating any concerns to senior stakeholders.
- Reviewing and investigating variances and trends across the P&L, Balance Sheet and Cashflows.
- Supporting with the budgeting and forecasting process, including understanding variances and preparing analysis for senior stakeholders.
- Utilising data management, analytics and reporting tools to continually optimise processes both within finance and the wider business.
- Producing ad hoc analysis and involvement in project work / initiatives.
Essential
- Qualified with ACA/ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent) or QBE
- Comfortable with data and insights tools [Intermediate SQL proficiency]
- Advanced Excel skills
- High numeric and analytical skills
Desirable
- Knowledge of SAP / Cognos (in-house Compass Group system)
- Previous experience with analytics tools (e.g. PowerBi, Tableau and Quicksight) or willingness to learn
