Establishing a new division under the Data & Analytics umbrella, we are looking for a high potential candidate to join the team as a Data Developer with a focus on creating data products. The roll is newly created within the team and full training will be provided for the right candidate demonstrating the core skillset required to succeed. The role will be responsible for the development of data assets leveraging the Looker platform aimed at an internal audience spanning all business divisions and offer the opportunity to demonstrate innovation and creativity blended with an advanced technical knowledge.


This role would be suitable for a recent graduate or a candidate with some previous experience. Training on specific technologies and platforms will be provided with the role however core skills are a must, so candidates are expected to demonstrate some examples of problem solving or the use of data to solve problems. This can be in either an academic or work experience setting.


You will regularly partner with analysts, data scientists, engineers and most importantly business stakeholders. As such you will be expected to interpret and understand the requirements and ways of working for those you are supporting, ensuring the most effective solution to the challenge presented. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about learning at a fast pace and getting hands on with developing Data Products in a passionate and creative business.


  • Manage the definition and implementation of the data infrastructure that powers analysis for the Burberry digital platforms (how we understand what is happening on burberry.com, for example).
  • Partner with the platform development teams which build and maintain the experiences to understand requirements and opportunities for data capture.
  • Manage the data quality, enrichment, and enablement for both internal data sources and 3rd party marketing tags covering a range of tools including GTM, Google Analytics, Snowplow and many more.
  • Develop into the subject matter expert and act as go-to for all data capture queries powering the wider Data & Analytics capabilities.
  • Manage the ongoing knowledge sharing for business teams, analysts, data scientists and engineers alongside the documentation for data structures and assets.


  • You have a bachelor’s degree or above in a mathematical or problem-solving field. For example, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science.
  • Hands-on experience working with GTM tool. 
  • Hands on experience with SQL required, other technical competencies highly valued.
  • You should be a problem solver with the ability to work collaboratively and adaptively.
  • Able to learn rapidly and develop technical skills to enable and support a varied stakeholder group.
  • Must be a team player, self-motivated and demonstrate a clear passion for problem solving.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A problem-solving mindset with the ability to deconstruct issues and develop creative solutions to deliver the maximum value.
  • Strong time management skills with an ability to work in a collaborative fashion while handling and prioritising multiple requests.
